A good standard I have to judging movie sequels is that if children are brought in to the mix, it will usually be a bad movie. 28 Weeks Later brings children into the story line but it work. I guess because the first movie did have a young character, it is not that big of a deal for me. This movie is scarier and… gorier than the first. It is very entertaining as well, just not as good as 28 Days Later. But that is apples to oranges.
This is probably the last week of theatrical release, so I suggest checking it out in a theater while you can. If you can’t make it, it is a great rental.
